Joey.

Today I adopted Joey, a three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog. Joey was a stray and on 9/11/07 he was brought into the equivalent of Denver's Dumb Friend's League, Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). The volunteers at PAWS were terrific and I think they were nearly as excited as I was that Joey was coming home with me. He made some human friends at the shelter. While my first summer in Seattle has been wonderful and I've met some great new pals, I have been a bit lonely. I had dog envy. I needed a cuddle buddy. Joey has already captured my heart.

OK, and about the blog. This time I promise I will get back into the groove with more frequent updates and pictures.

Joey looks like he's going to be a great companion! I'm sure he and Chaplin will get along great when they meet. Congratulations!

Congratulations. You were serious when you said you wanted someone like Mandy. She feels extra proud today.

And, yes please. More blog entries from now on.
